Hidaka region, the home of Thoroughbreds,
became the greatest horse producer in Japan,
when Ekiba (horse messenger) was established in Edo period.
In Tokachi, workhorses established the pioneering foundation during Meiji period,
and its history remains in Banei Races.
This is a course in which you can experience
the history of Hokkaido development by examining the regions
with different horse cultures, despite being physically adjacent to each other
and both having a history engrained with horses.
